Haikou, March 1 (Xinhua) - The authorities in the south of the Hainan province of South China revealed pets for the International Expo of China International Consumer Products 2022 , it was designed after Hainan's Gibbon.

Hainan Gibbons are the most in danger of extinction of all the Gibbones and the rarest primate in the world. They are endemic from South Hainan Chinese island. Pets reflect the green consumption approach of the Expo, according to Ruslan Tulenov, a global media officer at Hainan's provincial economic development office.

Pets embody the three dominant and distinctive industries from Hainan, namely the seed industry, the deep sea industry and the aerospace industry. The designers have endowed pets with various personalities, hoping that global companies and consumers can share opportunities and create a better life together through the Expo, Tulenov said.

Themed "Share open opportunities, co-create a better life:" The event is scheduled to run from April 12 to 16 in Haikou, the Hainan capital . France will be the country of guests of honor this year.

The exhibition area covers more than 100,000 square meters, 80 percent of which will be configured for foreign exhibitors with fashion, jewelry, food, medicine and other services professionals.
