Changsha June 22 (Xinhua) - A medical team selected by Hunan province, central China has returned home after helping fight COVID-19 pandemic in Zimbabwe and Equatorial Guinea

After a quarantine period of 14 days Sanya, Hainan Province, team, composed of 12 experts with experience in COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment, came to Changsha, capital of Hunan, on Monday

. Appointed by the National Commission of Health, the team flew directly to Zimbabwe with medical supplies donated by the provincial government on May 11, beginning a one month medical aid trip to Africa

. Zhu Yimin, deputy director of the commission of provincial health and head of the team, said experts are of the departments of the airways, departments of infectious diseases, and fields of intensive care medicine, traditional Chinese medicine, infection control, public health and nursing

.. Zhu said he visited the medical expertise and testing institutions in Zimbabwe and Equatorial Guinea to share relevant China in combating the epidemic

the team cooperated with local medical workers in treatment plans and local laboratories guided to improve their capacity for nucleic acid analysis. The team also presented a professional and guidance given to COVID-19 prevention and control, according to Zhu. End
